About your Event Director.....
Jörg's first became interested in country music while visiting the USA. His attention was brought to Country Western dancing by visiting a German/American Volksfest 1993. That summer he attended a dance class at a local Country bar, where he learned his first Line Dance. In the fall, he became more involved with Country Western dancing in the American clubs in the Rhein/Neckar area. In April 1994 he entered an official Country Western Dance competition in the Netherlands, winning the Division 4 Two Step. Since then he has danced in several competitions held in nine countries. He won the international German, Belgium and Dutch competition and was the European Champion 1997, 1998 and 1999.

In January this year, he danced in the Pro/Am competition at the World Championships with Vickie-Vance Johnson placing third overall in the Classic Intermediate Division and fourth overall with his partner Lucy Slone in Showcase Division III. He was elected President of the GCWDA in June 1996 and he has been working in this position for one year. He teaches on a regular basis in the Heidelberg and Mannheim area and travels to nearly all the competitions in Europe, even some in the States to compete or judge. He has been improving his teaching skills through participation in the National Country Western Teachers Association (NTA) accreditation program and the Judgetraining sessions of the United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC).Serving as the Event Director of the German Country Western Dance Championships remains his biggest challenge to date.
